Conservation Ambassador

Nadia, a senior caretaker at the Oklahoma City Zoo, specializes in the care and management of Asian elephants and Indian rhinos. She holds an undergraduate degree in Marine Biology with a focus on Animal Behavior, and a Master’s degree in Animal Behavior: Applications in Conservation from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, England.

In 2024, Nadia represented the Oklahoma City Zoo on a significant visit to Sri Lanka, where she met with The Sri Lanka Elephant Project team to explore their ongoing research and discuss potential collaborative efforts. Her commitment to animal conservation is further demonstrated through her active membership in the Elephant Managers Association and her role on the Conservation Committee.
